SURPRISE! is a Mid-Atlantic Seniors Quartet representing the Alexandria, Mt. Vernon, Dundalk, District of Columbia and Frank Thorne chapters. We mix together different chapters, careers, religions, home towns, and more, and SURPRISE! – a quartet is formed. We’ve reached “Senior” status and the guys have lost count of their many years of marriage, children and grandchildren, birthdays, valentines, old cars, and of course, many years of singing Barbershop in choruses and quartets. The quartet includes Cross O’Donovan (tenor), John Grant (lead), Bob Hirsh (baritone) and Bruce Minnick (bass).
